Action for the Reinforcement of the Transitional Waters' Environmental Integrity

Transitional waters webGIS

Common web-based knowledge exchange platform / webGIS

Open source-based knowledge exchange platform provides links to web-based geographical information delivery systems and the results in the webGIS development should be assessed area-wise:

Vistula and Curonian lagoons: a joint webGIS provides an application running in the internet browser window enabling the exchange of spatial information concerning the Vistula Lagoon, between stakeholders, both Polish and Russian. All users have an unlimited and unrestricted access to information about e.g. bathymetry, sediments, restricted areas, protection areas, navigation routes, dumping sites, fishing zones, harbours, average temperature, topography of the region, etc. Additionally, users can not only to look on the maps but also to use map content to analyze situation in the area, i.e. a distance and area measurement, vector and raster value/attributes identification. The user can also export the results of the analysis to pdf or png file.
Oresund Sound: interactive webGIS tool displaying marine ecological values and human usage of Öresund.
Szczecin (Stettin) Oder lagoon: knowledge transfer from the German webGIS of Stettin Lagoon to the Polish partner plus integrated data from the Polish side of the Szczecin Lagoon.

Please read user guide (applicable to Curonian and Vistula lagoons) before using webGIS.
