Action for the Reinforcement of the Transitional Waters' Environmental Integrity

Component 2

Communication and Dissemination

The purpose and the scope of the Component 2 is to ensure effective communication within the project network and with the outside interest groups, smooth circulation of the project results among the the project areas, dissemination and promotion of the project results and outputs in the South Baltic Area as well as the entire Baltic Sea Region.

The communication and dissemination strategy of the project is based on a three-tier approach:

  1. Routine project activities are supported by regular on-line communication and electronic conferencing among project partners, AOs, the SC, AG and the external experts.
  2. In the second part of the project implementation a large-scale dissemination campaign is launched aimed to deliver project results to the broader target groups, including different tiers of public administration, the key private stakeholders and a broad spectrum of the interested parties, including political authorities of regional, national and trans-national levels. 8 dissemination events presenting the project results and outputs were held in all four transitional water areas. Joint information and awareness raising actions will contribute to communication, publicity, promotion and dissemination of the generated results, outputs, knowledge and good practice.
  3. Presentation of ARTWEI results, advantages and follow-up perspectives should be highlighted at various high-level meetings of HELCOM, VASAB 2010+ and Baltic 21 networks. The Code of Conduct and other project results are disseminated in the Baltic Sea Region and throughout Europe using EUCC organizational and activity network and Pan-European events (Littoral 2010, Littoral 2012 and Littoral 2014)
